Happy Anniversary to Art Predator Blog! 13 years, 13 hits

November 4, 2020

Break out the bubbles! Let’s celebrate! It’s my Bloggoversary!
13 Year Anniversary Achievement
Happy Anniversary with WordPress.com!
You registered on WordPress.com 13 years ago.
Thanks for flying with us. Keep up the good blogging.

On the night of the time change in 2007, I started this blog based on a newspaper column I wrote which was also called Art Predator. Because the date the night of the time change changes, I celebrate this event twice!

And certainly blogging consistently for so many years is worthy of celebration!

Art Predator (CC) Randy Stewart, blog.stewtopia.com.

In the beginning of this blog, it was very eclectic with a fair amount of my poetry and art included as well as wine! As I progressed as a blogger, I had the opportunity to do social media for a wine import company, but when that fell through when the economy tanked, I went into wine blogging anyway where I have found great success including wine travel around the world and lots of cases of wine come my way every month!

My blog also evolved as a teaching tool. Instead of doing power points or other media, I would write a blog post that would include graphics, text, and videos which we’d go over in class and which students could return to at their leisure. As I the texts I use in my college composition classes include current topics including racism, sexism, and environmental deflation, these were worth sharing here on Art Predator. But as I have not been teaching, I haven’t been blogging here as much as I have been over on Wine Predator. Read more of the story here.

What are some of the most popular posts? Some of my favorite posts? Because I’ve been doing this for 13 years, here’s 13 posts:

Congratulations, Gwendolyn! I am inspired by your commitment and passion to finding and appreciating hidden gems and the stories behind them! BTW did you notice that your top posts subjects have nothing to do about wine?! lol

Ha! Well that’s true for Art Predator, not so true for Wine Predator!
