#VoteToday #GoVote #MidtermElections2018 #2018Midterms #ElectionDay #GrabThemByTheBallot

November 6, 2018

“Oh, I voted all right. I moved on that ballot like a bitch. I got there, w/ blood coming out of my wherever! I’m auto attracted to polling stations—I just start filling in ovals. It’s like a magnet. And when ur registered, they let u do it. U can do anything.” #Grabthembytheballot  Read the original quote here.

Have YOU voted yet?

If you’re a resident of the United States, today is the day… Today we get to vote.  And personally? I hope we vote the assholes out.

The two images above are from the t-shirts I’ve been wearing in heavy rotation this past week. everywhere I go in the one above, I hear: “I LOVE YOUR SHIRT!” “Where can I get that shirt!” “I’m with you — and I already voted!” I’ll be wearing the tie dye one to teach in and to the polls.

Did you know…

If you live in California, you can still register TODAY and vote in person! Go to the county office of elections and vote today.

If you need time off work to vote, YOU CAN and still get paid for up to two hours!

You can track your vote by mail here.

There’s only one way to vote: and that’s for the planet.  When in doubt, vote for the Earth.

Our democracy depends on all of us showing up, and our planet depends on leaders who will protect it. If you haven’t already voted, get to the polls today.

If you’re not sure what to vote for or who to vote for, here are some other more specific ideas and a link to the voter guide from Indivisible that covers everything from candidates to judges to propositions.

If you’ve voted, like this post, share it with friends, and leave a comment below. WordPress says “Better yet: blog about it! Remember to tag it with “#2018Midterms” and “#MidtermElections2018” so that others might find it in the Reader and join the conversation.”

Still not sure why you should vote? A local high school, El Camino at Ventura College, put this video together:

The students from ECTV also crewed these video shoots:
Propositions 1 to 5
Propositions 6 to 12
Ventura City Candidates Forums, City Council, College District, Ventura Unified
School District and Candidate’s Statements all at this url.
