BurningMon Go! Art and Activities in Black Rock City NV at Burning Man 2016
While the massive art installations on the playa like the Man,
the Temple,
El Pulpo
and this year, the Lighthouse
and the Boar (which spins!!)
are what attracts so much attention from the press and the citizens of BRC, it is the magic to be found on every street and in every camp that makes Black Rock City so great.
For example, this telephone (above) where you can speak to a random burner by calling (973) 737-BURN(2876) or if you’re in BRC, you can answer the phone at 9:10 & I in front of Octothorpe, half block from duck pond and a few other sound camps. My friend Johnny Utah’s camp (420 and C) usually hosts a phone box where you can talk to God (but not this year) and where he shows the art made from his San Quentin prison students.
Everyone probably has heard about all the bars at Black Rock City, and while the parties are plentiful, you can find pancakes,
and coffee, and even fine French dining –if you get lucky and get randomly given a ticket!
And after eating and drinking you can get some ICE COLD mouthwash!
With or without a dust storm, weather depending!
And with a nice fresh mouth, you’re ready to kiss the bride after you get married by Elvis!
Just like in YOUR city, people like to watch TV:
And just like in your city, most of Black Rock City quiets down at night–except for Center Camp and the “Esplanade” which is like Black Rock City’s “Main Street” and the outskirts at 2 and 10 (which have sound camps and a lot of RVs which dampen the sound). The Esplanade hosts theme camps like Pink Heart
and Skateboard Camp and the Roller Disco:
All this and more awaits those who wander the streets of Black Rock City.

How about Pokemon Go? Or even better, how about BurningMon Go?
Yes I’m sure you’ve heard of Pokemon Go. But BurningMon Go?
This year, both games are operational are out there on the streets of Black Rock City and on the open playa. But one doesn’t need an internet connection which can be tenuous at best in Black Rock City so can you guess which one YOU will want to play?
