#WomensMarch for Justice: Jan. 18, 2020

January 17, 2020

Four years ago, a racist, sexist, ignorant, inflammatory, selfish and self-centered man was elected president of the United States.

Millions of women and their allies took to the streets across the country for the first Women’s March and other protests.

Some of us haven’t stopped protesting because while he has been impeached by the US House of Representatives, the Senate has to vote to remove him.

As far as I’m concerned, the VP should be removed along with the President as well as his Attorney General — and they should all be thrown in jail to join a number of other cronies of the current president that Axios lists as:

Awaiting sentencing:

  • Former national security adviser Michael Flynn: The retired three-star general pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI in Dec. 2017. He will be sentenced on Jan. 28.
  • Roger Stone: Convicted of obstruction, giving false statements to a House committee and witness tampering. He also lied to Congress about his efforts to learn more about when WikiLeaks would publish damaging emails about 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

The next Women’s March is tomorrow Sat. Jan. 18, 2020 all over the country.

I’ll be there in hot pink with a hot pink pussy hat on. Here’s why:

  • As a woman and as a survivor of sexual assault, it terrifies me that he has bragged about sexual assault.
  • As a taxpayer, it shocks me that he has bragged about not paying taxes.
  • As a citizen, I see that his billionaire cabinet selections lack the qualifications necessary to carry out their tasks.
  • As a graduate in Environmental Studies and an EcoPsychologist, I am afraid of his claims that climate change is a hoax.
  • As a college teacher, it appalls me that he was fined $25 million because of his fraudulent university– and even more appalled that he still made millions on that deal.
  • As an artist, I am disappointed that he has threatened to dismantle the National Endowment for the Arts.
  • As a wildlife biologist, I am scared that we will lose more of the species that share this planet with us.
  • And this just scrapes the surface of the turd that is stuck on our shoes until he is impeached, or he quits.
