Feliz Dia de Los Muertos! Happy Fifth–no SIXTH?– Bloggoversary!

November 2, 2013

BYG4s-YCEAA3YuHFeliz dia de los muertos!

and Happy Fifth Bloggoversary to me!

Or is it sixth?? or seventh?

On the urging of the Accidental Novelist Danika Dinsmore and Sophia Kidd, I started this blog the night the time changed in November 2007. We were going to watch a movie after my husband put my son to bed…except he fell asleep, and the next morning, when he woke up, he was married to a blogger!

A year after starting Art Predator, in 2008 I added Wine Predator. I’m also the Compassionate Rebel (as of January 2010), and less often these days I’m Bikergo Gal (2009).  I also blog about writing at The Write Alley (2010) and Whisper Down the Write Alley (2008).gingerkitty 2013 dia muertos

In 2009, I celebrated my second bloggoversary in Portugal on an amazing and life changing wine blogging trip; earlier this year I had my 500,000 page view on Art Predator. In this post, I review some of my favorite posts and some of the most popular ones too.

When I started on this journey six–no seven??– years ago, I would never have guessed I’d be where I am today as a successful wine blogger and social media influencer. But to be honest, I’ve been writing my whole life and Art Predator actually started as a newspaper column back in the mid-90s.

Join me in the way back machine to visit my first post, how i became art predator. And you might be interested in this one also–how i became art predator 2.

Thank you for for subscribing and reading!! Hard to believe I’ve been at it so many, how many??, lotsa years!

UPDATE: Danika emailed me to explain–

Nov 2007 – blog started
Nov 2008 – 1st blogiversary (end of first year in action)
Nov 2009 – 2nd blogiversary (end of 2nd year)
2010 – 3rd
2011 – 4th
2012 – 5th
2013 – 6th

Which means I’m heading toward my 7th bloggoversary!

    it’s your 6th blogiversary. :-)

I’m amazed at where you’ve taken blogging. You’ve certainly surpassed me (views, followers, amount of posts, etc). You’ve created communities and created a niche for yourself. Cheers to you and many more years of blogging.

Thanks, Danika! And thank you for encouraging me to start, and for introducing me to the Monday Poetry Train, and more! One day I hope you’ll be in town to enjoy some of the wine samples I get these days!
