Lucidity Embraces The Great Synthesis: Music, Workshops, Art, Camp, Fun, Games!

April 5, 2023

Lucidity Synthesis

“Myths are public dreams, and dreams are private myths,” according to Joseph Campbell. Lucidity organizers say when we become lucid in our dreams, we realize ourselves as infinite potential, we let go of fear, and we are free to create that which we want to see in the world. They suggest we bring those visions, those possibilities, and that conscious energy with us to Lucidity’s “The Great Synthesis” beginning Thursday April 6, 2023, and wake up in the dream. Lucidity Festival organizers will stage an epic story of transformation where all are heroes and heroines in a chapter of a twelve year saga over the weekend of April 6-9, 2023. And tickets are still available!

This weekend, you too can tune in to the mythos of Chapter 10 The Great Synthesis

when “the collective consciousness of the dreamers of the Lucid Multiverse spiral upwards and outwards into greater octaves of unity and expansiveness.”

In 2023, the year of The Great Synthesis, organizers write that “Timelines converge, songlines branch back toward intersection, and the cosmic threads that weave our destinies together become a tighter braid. All the information, skills, experience, and challenges of the last 10 years are ready to be stirred into the cauldron of integration. The wound becomes the source of healing. The enemy becomes a profound teacher. Our most expansive experiences of joy and bliss expand our container and capacity to hold equally greater depths of grief and sorrow. As we step into The Great Synthesis, we embrace the intention to touch, to taste, to feel, to know Universal Consciousness.”

This year, I am offering two workshops on Friday and I’m on a panel on Saturday. Friday 11am I’ll be teaching how to make your own mouthwash, and Friday at 5pm it’s a Dream Tending and Writing Workshop. Both Friday workshops will be held in the Family Garden area of Lucidity in the lower left of the mapdana pictured. On Saturday, I will be on a panel about Lucid Dreaming moderated by Lucidity co-founder Jonah Haas and fellow Lucid Dreamers.   More details in the next blog post!

Here’s a list of all the  Lucidity workshop presenters and you can find their offerings here.

As I prepare for these offerings, I am keeping in mind the bigger picture of Lucidity, and what it means to participate in The Great Synthesis:

Are you ready to say LET’S GO? Be prepared for these core values that guide the inhabitants of Lucid City:

  • Participation and Immersion in the Artistic Process
  • Personal Growth and Global Healing
  • Awake and Aware Consciousness
  • Environmental and Social Responsibility
  • Family Fun and Creative Play
  • Communal Reciprocity
  • Transparency

Lucidity organizers like Brion Shearer curate a world class lineup of musical talent and weave them together with local legends. A centrally located gallery showcases fine art for a visual voyage and art installations surprise and pleasure participants with multi-sensory stimulation while themed environments create intimate settings for personal connections.

So while Lucidity has great music, yes, it’s not just a music festival: art, workshops, and community building infuse the event. Participants co-create a transformational experience for all.

Interactive involving and evolving experiences abound including:

Each artist brings a unique sound to the grounds; you can explore the Lineup page to learn more about the musical offerings from live to EDM.

I’m excited to dance to new to me live bands like funky The Motet and Boostive:

We already love Dirtwire who perform on Sunday night:

You can pretty much count on finding great live music on the Alive Stage; read more here.
