Bike Month Closes with a BANG, a band, and bike shorts too May 30, 2014 in Ventura CA!
Tonight in Ventura there are TWO competing bike month events to celebrate the end of CycloMAYnia and this year’s Bike Month: one event is at the Ventura County Museum and the other is at the Hong Kong Inn.
First, starting at 6pm is DINNER and a MOVIE! It’s a Bicycle Short Film Fest at Bike Love Art Show Friday 7:00 p.m. at the Museum of Ventura County with films from Mexico, Florida, Cuba and Southern California. The cost is $7 for the general public and $5 for students and members.
From 6-7pm, enjoy delicious gourmet dogs by World Famous FRANKS. Plus it’s the LAST CHANCE to see the exhibit BIKE LOVE inside the Museum. Beginning at 7pm, catch these bike shorts:

Also tonight, and starting at 7:30pm, is a fundraiser for VCCOOL at the Hong Kong Inn in downtown Ventura on Thompson just north of California Street. VCCOOL is a Ventura organization which works on climate and active transportation issues. You can support safe streets for bicycling with your $10 suggested donation (no one turned away).
Polynesian Dancers will perform in exotic and traditional costume followed by “SEASIDE BAND” playing classic rock and roll and great dance tunes starting at 10:00pm. The Hong Kong Inn serves dinner until 11:00pm.
