“message in a bottle” waves, wines, words

Danika Dinsmore and I join forces Thursday, March 24 to present a unique writing workshop that engages the senses and ignites the imagination. Message in a Bottle: Ocean to Ojai – Waves, Wines, Words will take participants on a journey that begins near the ocean, continues at a small family owned working ranch and winery, and ends with a winemaker’s dinner in the majestic Ojai Valley. The workshop is part of WordFest, Ojai’s newest literary festival that spans nine days from March 19-27.
Message in a Bottle begins with an orientation with wine and appetizers Wednesday evening. On Thursday, enjoy pastries and coffee at the Channel Islands National Park Visitor Center followed by a wave watching and writing activities. After the ocean excursions, writers will venture to Vino V and Old Creek Ranch Winery to enjoy wine tasting and food pairing with winemaker Michael Meagher. The final portion of the day takes place in Ojai with a Winemaker Dinner at Knead Baking Co with Adam Tolmach of The Ojai Vineyard.
