PBS poll asks: Palin qualified? Obama or McCain?

September 22, 2008

PBS, the public TV station in the US (gutted by the recent administration), prevails to ask two important questions on their website:

Is Sarah Palin qualified to be VP–and be President of the US should something untoward happen to John McCain (as is a statistically realistic proposition given his age–25% chance he won’t finish his term).

If you need a clue, here’s some excerpts from the recent Saturday Night Live pairing Tina Fey as Sarah Palin with Amy Poehler as Hillary Clinton:

Vote here on the PBS Palin poll:

Do you think Sarah Palin is qualified to serve as Vice President of the United States?

PBS is also asking: Who do you trust more to fix the nation’s economic mess?

    Barack Obama
    John McCain
    Not Sure

As of this writing, McCain (aka a continuance of the Bush admin’s policies) has polled higher.

BTW, they will only let you vote once so please pass this link on! Thanks to LA poet Steve Abee, author of The Bus, for passing this poll on to me.

      Thanks, MU!

BTW, I couldn’t vote 2x yesterday but was able to today. Both polls are running close to 50-50.

I’ll vote in a sec, just wanted to let you know that I don’t think she is qualified, but more than that, I disagree with her views. She’s anti-abortion, and seems to allow her religious views to cloud her political judgment. She appears to be a far-right fanatic, with little education. She went to five or six colleges! If she’s so great why won’t her handlers allow the press to approach her with questions?

I agree with you Christine–except on the point of attending 5 or 6 colleges–I think I attended that many! (but i did come away with 4 degrees!)

Did you see any of the Charlie Gibson interviews? the highlights are hilarious but scary too

S P is not qualified to become a vp. she may be a great hockey mom but her views of the world are much too limited. she should do the right thing and step down from being the nominee for vp.
