Grow Food Party Crew: Food Forest Workshop May 15-17

April 25, 2009

n71651442534_7208Devin writes to invite you and I to:

Create an Edible Oasis Course – May 15-17
Ventura, CA

This is a practical course on how to design and implement edible forest gardens – a way of growing food that provides year-round abundance that lets nature do the work. We will be creating a food forest in a front yard in Ventura!

Food Forests are of the most resilient and productive cultivated ecosystems on the planet. They are a model for regenerative living that will allow us to thrive into the future. Learn the essentials now so you can go out and do it on your own or with friends!

A couple highlights about this course:
-We have a new Friday night permaculture party as a component. We’ll have live music, wood-fired pizza, and a presentation that gets into the details of permaculture and food forestry. It’s also an option for friends and family to come just for the night.
-The course is the essentials of food forestry applied in a hands-on format – that way you will really know how to do it, and what you’ll run into when you do it yourself.
-It is priced ridiculously low compared to other 3-day courses

As you’ll notice below, has a great incentive for you to advertise and bring friends. For every person that signs up and pays in full that mentions you, you get $5 off your tuition. Also, if you fill out the registration form and pay by May 8, the course is only $45!

If you don’t plan on attending the course, but know people who would, please send this out to friends or put up a flyer on your local bulletin board.

Much gratitude,
Much love,
Devin Slavin
