Saturn Moves Forward Again & so should you!

There’s been a flurry of interest here at Art Predator with regards to Saturn’s retrograde motion since last day of 2008 (as in over 2,300 page views for this post: Last Day of 2008: Saturn Retrograde until May 2009)..

Like Saturn, it is now time for you to move forward too, fully committing yourself to projects with more confidence and inner strength! According to Astrology.com

Saturn, the slow moving planet of karma and the taskmaster of the zodiac, which has been retrograde since December 31 of last year, finally turns direct on May 16. This ushers in a period of possibilities as our inner plans begin finding their way into the outer world, and vague outlines of concepts begin to sharpen.

Saturn asks for commitment, discipline and a sense of purpose to work its magic of making dreams real. He commands us to get to work, and to work hard. Discipline and responsibility are important to this planet. Saturn reinforces responsibility, carrying your share of the load and being held accountable for what you say or do. Saturn rules wisdom, but it is wisdom gained from hard work and experience — earned one difficult step at a time. During a direct period, Saturn inspires confidence. As its role as a teacher, during a direct transit, Saturn also bestows inner strength — a strength of spirit, a deepening sense of compassion and understanding of self, others or a particular situation.

But remember: Each planet exerts influence over certain aspects of life depending on how they are placed in your individual natal or birth charts. How will the energies of this important Saturn transit affect you and how well will you do during this period?

Saturn for me is in Aquarious in the 10th House and according to the website  My Astrology Book’s Planets section, this means:

Saturn in Aquarius is in a strong position, since with Uranus it is a co-ruler of Aquarius. Saturn’s test in Aquarius is to grow in one’s openness and fairness to all: to be responsible for an awareness of the brotherhood of all mankind. You will be frequently asked to put your own personality aside, and to be representative of a larger and more universal consciousness. When Saturn is unafflicted here, your can be strong, impersonal, just, scientific, and universal in outlook. If afflicted, you may have to work on not being cold, unloving or opinionated, and would tend to resent being told anything that wasn’t to your liking. It’s important that you keep your circulation flowing with this position. Saturn returns to each sign once every 29 or 30 years for about a three-year stay. Saturn was in Aquarius from 2/1932 to 2/1935, from 1/1962 to 12/1964, and from 2/1991 to 1/1994.

Saturn in the tenth house: The tenth house represents our ability (or lack thereof) to establish ourselves in and contribute to the outside world: our social image. It rules role models, guides and authority figures that have assisted us in exteriorizing ourselves in the world. Here is our career or profession, the dominant parent who guided us into the world, and our orientation toward society based on his or her example. Here are people in power over us (such as bosses and employers), our honor and reputation, and how we play out these roles in relation to others (our being a father, guide, or disciplinary figure). Planets in the tenth house show by the houses they rule which areas in our life depend on our reputation or professional role for the fulfillment of their needs. Many planets here indicate a need to achieve and be recognized as an important person, a strong father orientation, or to have others dependent on us.

Power and pride are your tests in this incarnation with Saturn in your tenth house. Your self-reliance and ambition are strong, and your reputation and image are very important to you. You’ve a gift for business and the desire to climb the ladder of success. You’re well organized, build your career methodically and deliberately, and have great perseverance in reaching your career goals and objectives. There may be no father figure in your life, or problems stemming from your dominant parent. This position is often referred to as the “Napoleonic complex,” because it can signify a rise to the top followed by a fall—particularly if you’ve used others to gain your goals, or haven’t built your foundation well.

Red Saturn

Explanation: This strange, false-color image of otherwise familiar planet Saturn shows temperature changes based on thermal infrared emission in the gas giant’s atmosphere and rings. Recorded from the Keck I telescope on Mauna Kea, the sharp, ground-based picture of Saturn’s southern hemisphere is a mosaic of 35 images. Based on the effects of sunlight during the southern summer season, general warming trends were anticipated. But a surprising result of the infrared image data is the a clear indication of an abruptly warmer polar cap and bright hot spot at Saturn’s south pole. The warm south pole and hot spot may be unique in the solar system and a further exploration of the region is planned using instruments on the Cassini spacecraft. So how hot is Saturn’s hot spot? The upper tropospheric temperature is a sweltering 91 Kelvin (-296 degrees Fahrenheit) at the pole.
