3:15 Experiment Poem August 26, 2003: open to the sky
The fog is back.
I drove into it last night
coming home from work
coming down the Conejo grade.
I could see it blotting
the sun and anything coastal.
the air tonight is deep thick
the sounds outside more echoing
it makes it cooler the dampness
we get more sticky
our skin connected, touching
In Lima Peru it is foggy like this
almost every day and night of the year.
It never rains.
In summer in January they
may get a few days when
it burns off sooner.
The rest of the year this fog
their only moisture.
You don’t have to worry
about it raining on your parade
your picnic your construction site–
roofs all over town unfinished
buildings open to sky to potential
to move floors ceilings guests.
Why bother with a roof when a
ceiling is enough to keep out
bird droppings and air pollution?
Happy New Year, everyone! Who needs a roof over your head? Don’t block your chakras energy from connecting with the sky! Step out of the fog, keep your mind open to the stars–our ancestors– and the unexpected potential of the New Year!

Hi there.. that fog sounds unreal!
I have poem material for gloomy weather right now!! Yesterday, my husband and I ran into Walmart while I held up our beat up umbrella…I caused more rain to fall on his head instisting he get under it. We commented on the fact that, due to so much rainfall here on this side of the Big Island… there should be plenty of overhangs; uh ah! You look at our Malls and shopping centers and everyone has to dodge the drops cause no overhang??? Anyway, glad you stopped by to comment; I will absoultely sulk if you don’t try to comment again! Goodness, I fixed that last night but hadn’t had any idea until a couple people remarked about it on the main site. Have a great day-
You’re almost at 50,000 hits, AP! I love the moist-dreamy non-rainy 3:15 Lima, Peru… I didn’t know you had been to South America at all. Way cool.
I posted a 3:15 poem today, too, from 2008.
I want my clustr map to have Antarctica on it and get a red hit from down there.
P.S. You’re already on my google reader – that counts as a subscription, doesn’t it?
yes the fog around here can be surreal–and writing at 315 on a foggy night can be really trippy! glad you’re finding it inspiring!
